Perth builders. Electrical work.

Power, lighting and electrical installations with the plans, construction stages and handover considered together.

From a changed room layout to a new installation, define the circuits, fittings and supply requirements before committing the surrounding work. Our licensed Malaga-based team works through the electrical scope with builders and head contractors across Perth.

Start with what you need

Make the electrical scope clear before work starts.

01

Drawings & fitting schedules

Turn the drawing into an agreed installation scope.

Send the current electrical layout, relevant specifications and equipment schedule. Identify new points, relocated fittings and existing items to be retained so a renovation is not priced as a simple like-for-like change. Lighting and switching choices can affect wiring, installation and compatibility. A fitting count alone does not establish the entire job. Confirm models, quantities, who supplies them and which decisions are still open, along with the project contact who can approve the final scope.

  • Current drawing revision and room or tenancy uses
  • Power points, equipment circuits, lighting and switching locations
  • Fitting models and quantities, including builder- or client-supplied items
  • Agreed controls, open selections and items retained or removed
02

Supply & switchboards

Consider what the building needs to power.

Air conditioning installation, cooking equipment, hot water and other proposed equipment belong in the electrical conversation from the start. A switchboard with spare spaces does not by itself establish available supply capacity. Share existing board and supply information where available so proposed circuits, protection and any wider changes can be considered. Consumer mains, network, metering or civil work can involve separate responsibilities and should not be assumed to sit within an ordinary installation quote.

  • Existing supply and switchboard details, where relevant
  • Equipment schedules and the circuits needed for the proposed use
  • Cable routes, board access and any proposed supply changes
  • Customer-side work, other contractors and external approvals clearly separated
03

Rough-in & fit-off

Resolve the details while the work is still accessible.

Before walls and ceilings close, work through cable routes, equipment positions, switching and access alongside other services. For fit-off, confirm that the relevant surfaces, cabinetry, mounting provisions and selected fittings are ready. Existing or occupied buildings may also require an agreed interruption to power. Changes to a layout or product selection can alter the work already planned, so send revised information before the affected installation proceeds rather than leaving the decision to the day of fit-off.

  • Rough-in locations and routes checked against the current drawings
  • Access, mounting requirements and dependencies on other trades
  • Final fitting selections and availability before fit-off
  • Shutdown arrangements, revised scope and approved variations
04

Testing & handover

Make completion clear for the builder and the owner.

Agree the checks, documentation and handover contact as part of the job scope. The completed electrical work is tested and labelled as applicable, and relevant circuits, fittings and controls are explained. If another trade still needs to complete work before an item can be tested or connected, record that dependency in the project conversation. Documentation relates to the work carried out; a limited installation or inspection should not be presented as certification of the entire building.

  • Relevant testing and circuit or equipment identification
  • Operation of installed switching and controls
  • Applicable installation records and any specifically requested project documents
  • Outstanding work, access limitations and the responsible handover contact

How we work together

Clear scope.
Agreed next steps.

  1. 01

    Share the current plans

Send the suburb, project stage, electrical drawings and equipment schedule. Include fitting selections, supply information, requested dates and any changes to an existing installation.

  2. 02

    Confirm the scope and stages

Work through circuits, fittings, supply, access and work by others. We clarify whether an assessment is needed, then agree inclusions, exclusions and readiness for rough-in and fit-off.

  3. 03

    Install, test and hand over

Coordinate the agreed work with site readiness. Changes are clarified before proceeding, followed by relevant testing, labelling, an explanation of controls and applicable completion records.

Before you book

Before rough-in and fit-off.

Questions about selections, supply and the finished installation.

Can you work through both rough-in and fit-off?

Yes. Share the current plans and construction stage so circuit routes, fittings and site readiness can be discussed for each stage. Access, product availability and dependencies on cabinetry, ceilings and other trades need to be confirmed before installation dates are agreed.

Can the builder or client supply the light fittings?

Send the fitting models or product information before finalising the installation scope so suitability can be checked. Mounting components, support, location and compatibility with dimmers or other controls can affect the work. The quote should make clear who supplies each item and any associated installation components.

Can electrical work and air conditioning be discussed together?

Yes. Bring the selected air conditioning equipment into the electrical brief so its supply requirements can be considered with other loads. Where both trades are in our scope, we clarify the inclusions together. Network, metering, civil or specialist work is not automatically included.

Which electrical records will the builder receive?

The required documentation depends on the electrical work carried out. Tell us about project-specific records, equipment information or handover requirements before the quote is agreed. The work is tested and labelled as applicable, with the completed changes and any scope limitations explained.

Start the conversation

Bring the electrical scope together.

A suburb, a brief description and a way to contact you are enough to start. If you have them, these details help:

  • Site suburb, project type and current construction stage
  • Electrical plans, revision and fitting or equipment schedules
  • Existing supply and switchboard information, where relevant
  • Rough-in and fit-off timing, access and work by others
  • Project contact, approval process and required handover records
