Let’s find the fault.
Then work out the right fix.
Not cooling, leaking or showing an error? Tell us what your air conditioner is doing. We diagnose the cause and explain the cost before you approve further work.
On the tools. In your neighbourhood.Start with the symptom
You don’t need to know which part has failed. These are the problems we investigate in Perth homes, rental properties and businesses.
Warm air can come from airflow, controls, electrical or refrigerant faults. Testing helps find the cause.
A drain, airflow or icing problem can cause indoor leaks. Tell us where the water appears.
The controller, power supply or a component may be involved. Let us know which unit is not starting.
One room warm while the others cool? We look at filters, fans, ducts and zone controls as appropriate.
Rattling, buzzing or grinding can point to different faults. Describe the sound and when it starts.
A code or flashing light is a useful clue. A photo of the controller helps us prepare for testing.
Intermittent faults need context. Tell us how long it runs and whether the problem affects every zone.
Leave the system off and arrange an assessment. Do not keep resetting a breaker or safety switch.
Musty smells and electrical smells need different checks. Stop using the system if it smells burnt.
Not sure how to describe it? That’s fine. Start with what you’ve noticed.
Tell us what’s happeningA clear plan, from the first call
The first visit is about finding the cause. You’ll know what we found, what we recommend and what it costs before deciding.

Share your suburb, the symptom and any model details or photos you can safely take. You don’t need to identify the failed part.
We check your location, system and access, then confirm availability, the diagnostic fee and what that visit includes before you book.
The technician checks the relevant airflow, drainage, controls, electrical components or refrigerant circuit, guided by the fault.
We explain the findings, the proposed work and its price. If more testing, parts or another visit are needed, we explain those too.
Approve a repair, consider a warranty pathway or compare replacement. After an approved repair, we run the system and check the original fault.
The right help for your system
From an indoor unit that’s dripping to ducted rooms that won’t cool, we assess the system and the fault together.

Know what you’re approving
We confirm the first visit’s fee and scope before you book. The full repair price depends on what the diagnosis finds.
Access, testing time, parts availability and any refrigerant work can affect the cost. A parts order or return visit is explained before you approve it.
Check repair availabilityWe agree the diagnostic time, scope and fee before booking. This visit establishes the fault and the next step.
Additional testing, labour, parts, refrigerant and return visits are separate unless expressly included.
You can stop after diagnosis. You choose whether to go ahead with the proposed repair.
Repair first. Compare when it matters.
Start with the diagnosis. Age alone doesn’t decide it: condition, parts and the cost of the actual fault matter too.
| ↗ Repair may make sense | ↔ Consider replacement |
|---|---|
| An isolated, identifiable fault | Recurring breakdowns or several failing components |
| Parts are available for your model | Critical parts are obsolete or unavailable |
| The rest of the system is in good condition | The overall condition is deteriorating |
| The repair cost is proportionate | A major repair is difficult to justify against replacement |
| The system still suits your rooms | The system no longer meets the property’s needs |
We’ll explain the options so you can make the decision.
Compare air conditioning replacement optionsSend a photo of the unit’s label if you can reach it safely. We’ll confirm whether we can take on your system and discuss parts availability.
Tell us the approximate age and who installed it, if known. The original installer or manufacturer may be the right first contact. Read about our workmanship warranty.

A few useful answers
Costs, common faults and what happens next.
Talk to our teamThe total depends on the fault, diagnostic time, parts, access and whether a return visit is needed. We confirm the first visit’s scope and fee before booking. Further testing and repair work are explained and priced for your approval; they are not automatically included in the diagnostic visit.
Your description, model details and error codes help us prepare, but several faults can cause the same symptom. An onsite diagnostic visit is usually needed to confirm the cause and quote the repair.
Sometimes, if the fault is straightforward, the required parts are available and you approve the work. If parts need ordering or more testing is required, we explain the next step, expected availability and return-visit costs first.
Airflow restrictions, fan or control problems, electrical faults and refrigerant-circuit issues can all affect cooling. Warm air alone does not establish that refrigerant is low. Tell us whether the problem affects the whole system or only some rooms.
Read the not-cooling guideDrainage restrictions, icing and airflow problems are possible causes. Tell us where and when you see the water. If water is near electrical equipment, stop using the system and arrange an assessment.
Read the leaking-water guideLeave the system off and have the fault assessed by a licensed electrical contractor. Do not repeatedly reset the switch or open electrical compartments. Tell us about the tripping when you enquire.
Read the tripping-power guideSend the brand, model and a photo of the label if it is safely accessible. We check whether we can take on your particular system and discuss parts availability before booking. We do not assume every model can be repaired.
Not necessarily. Refrigerant should not be used up during normal operation. If a refrigerant fault is suspected, the circuit needs appropriate testing to establish the cause before any refrigerant work is proposed. Poor cooling can have other causes too.
Age is one factor. We also consider the confirmed fault, overall condition, repeat breakdowns, parts availability and the repair cost compared with replacement. A sound system with an isolated fault can still be worth repairing.
Read the repair-or-replace guideTell us before booking and have your purchase or installation details ready if you can. Contacting the manufacturer or original installer may be the appropriate first step. We can discuss the best pathway before independent repair work is authorised.
Choose repairs for a specific fault, such as a leak, repeated tripping, an error code or a system that will not operate correctly. Routine servicing is for a working system that needs cleaning and maintenance. If you are unsure, describe the problem and we will help you choose.
